There is no rod with the action and sensitivity of a good FORK & HOE ROD! A person can feel a minnow on the hook when perch fishing! This is a very good old solid steel rod that will last the winner a lifetime! This requires one small repair in that the bent line guide should be straightened out if this is going to be used. All line guides and the tip are seen in detail below. All three line-guides and the tip are original. This has light scattered silver paint loss, nicking, scratching, light tarnish and normal general aging and use as seen. The original color of the steel rod was silver. The black metal reel seat has scattered paint loss, soiling, and scratching as seen. ![]() The grip is in otherwise good condition with general use and aging. The cork grip has an old taped repair as seen. ROD CONDITION: The total length is 61¼" or 5 FT & 1¼". The exact age is unknown but believed to be from the late 1930's or pre-1950 era due to the GENEVA OHIO markings. Another side has a BX with the X having a line on the top and bottom of it. Another side has another different Patent No. The base of the rod has 4 markings as follows: True Temper CHAMPION. This is an old historical metal rod and hard to find in this condition! ROD MARKINGS: This rod has numerous markings as follows: Reel seat: True Temper The American Fork & Hoe Co.
